What to Expect During Your Visit
We understand that recovery can feel vulnerable — especially in the first few days post-surgery. Our caregivers are trained to support you with compassion, professionalism, and discretion every step of the way.
Here’s what a typical 6-hour Basic Recovery visit looks like:
Arrival & Check-In
Your caregiver arrives on time and introduces themselves professionally.
They review your recovery space and check in with you (and your nurse or loved one, if applicable).
If needed, they’ll read over any care notes or surgeon’s post-op instructions.
Comfort & Hygiene Support
Assistance with freshening up: toileting, gentle bathing or wipe-down, oral care.
Help changing into fresh garments and setting up your bed or rest area.
Repositioning and comfort setup to support circulation and reduce discomfort.
Meal & Hydration Assistance
Preparation of light, recovery-friendly meals/snacks using your ingredients.
Support with fluids and reminders to stay hydrated.
Ensuring you’re seated or reclined safely and comfortably during meals.
Light Housekeeping
Trash removal, linen changes, light tidying of your immediate space.
Organizing recovery supplies, garments, or medications (without administering).
Adjusting lighting, temperature, or music to create a calm environment.
Emotional Support & Wellness Monitoring
Companionship and conversation if desired — or quiet, respectful presence.
Gentle observations for signs of discomfort or needs (not medical care).
Communication or notes left for your nurse, surgeon, or loved one if needed.
Closing & Wrap-Up
Final check-in to ensure you're comfortable and set up for rest.
A quick summary of care activities and updates for your care team if requested.
Departure with respect for your privacy, dignity, and personal space.
